Heat Continues

Created by the NWS Salt Lake City WFO

The very hot conditions continue with most valleys seeing highs in the 100-105°F range. Low temperatures in the 70s to around 80 will provide little relief from the heat. Stay inside in air conditioning if you can and stay hydrated!

A National Weather Service Salt Lake City weather graphic titled "HEAT CONTINUES" with a subheadline "Sunday's Heat Headlines."

Key Messages:

Highs of 100–105°F for many valleys combined with lows in the 70s to around 80°F bring an increased threat of heat-related illness.

Temperatures will peak today, staying very hot Monday, with minor relief Tuesday/Wednesday before temperatures rise again late in the week.

Advice: Stay inside in air conditioning, avoid strenuous activity during peak heat hours, and drink plenty of water.

Map Details (Hazards):

Heat Advisory (Orange): Covers most western, central, and southern valleys, including Salt Lake City, Dugway, Wendover, Delta, Richfield, Price, Duchesne, St. George, Kanab, and Caineville.

Extreme Heat Warning (Magenta): Covers the Lake Powell area (Bullfrog) along the far southern border.
