Dangerous Heat

Temperatures will warm into the mid 90s today and tomorrow, resulting in triple digit heat indices. Practice heat safety by staying hydrated and taking breaks if outdoors for long periods of time.

Heat Returns Early This Week. A map of Middle Tennessee is shown depicting major heat risk Monday and Tuesday. Major heat risk means that anyone without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration will be affected. Precautions include staying hydrated, reducing your time outdoors during the afternoon, and staying in a cool place during the heat of the day. Most likely highs will range from 88 to 99 degrees with heat index values of 100 to 110 degrees. Most likely lows will range from 70 to 77 degrees.
