What to Do
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Hot and Humid Across the Region Today

It'll be a hot and humid day across the region today as temperatures climb into the 80s to near 90 degrees with dewpoints in the mid to upper 60s. This will lead to heat indices in the 90s for many locations and close to 100 degrees in the lower Connecticut River Valley. A heat advisory is in effect for eastern Windham and eastern Windsor Counties in Vermont from noon to 8 PM today.
