Impacts
At 23.0 feet, Bottomland 1 to 2 miles south of the gage begins to flood. At 26.0 feet, Rural land adjacent to the river is flooded. At 28.0 feet, Rural roads are under water. At 37.0 feet, State Highway 139 floods a half mile east of Sumner.

- At 1036 AM CDT, Transportation department officials indicate numerous closed roads due to high water as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Flooding is already occurring. Between 2 and 7 inches of rain have fallen over the past 24 hours. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area later today. This flood warning replaces the previous warning which expires at 1045 am. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Severe Storm Return This Afternoon

Severe storms are expected to return this afternoon starting around 2-4 PM primarily for areas along and east of I-35. All severe hazards are possible including large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes, and heavy rainfall. Gusty winds precede the storms with wind gusts of 30-40 MPH anticipated. Heat indices south of US-50 may exceed 100F.
