Impacts
At 23.0 feet, Bottomland 1 to 2 miles south of the gage begins to flood. At 26.0 feet, Rural land adjacent to the river is flooded. At 28.0 feet, Rural roads are under water. At 37.0 feet, State Highway 139 floods a half mile east of Sumner.

- At 8:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 25.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 36.3 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Monday evening. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Severe Storm Return This Afternoon

Severe storms are expected to return this afternoon starting around 2-4 PM primarily for areas along and east of I-35. All severe hazards are possible including large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes, and heavy rainfall. Gusty winds precede the storms with wind gusts of 30-40 MPH anticipated. Heat indices south of US-50 may exceed 100F.
