Three Day Severe Risk

An active weather pattern will brings increasing chances for severe thunderstorms over the next 3 days. Best chance at severe weather will be Tuesday as a cold front sweeps through the area. Damaging wind gusts will be the main threat all 3 days.

Three day severe weather outlook. Today: there is a Marginal Risk along and west of I-95. Isolated storms possible inland this evening-tonight. A strong to severe storm cannot be ruled out. Main threat is damaging wind gusts of 45-60 mph. Tomorrow: Marginal risk for most of Virginia and Maryland, excluding far southeast Virginia and Northeast North Carolina. Isolated-scattered storms possible area-wide Monday afternoon/evening. A few severe storms possible. Main threat is damaging wind gusts of 45-60 mph. Tuesday: Slight risk for the entire area. Scattered to numerous storms possible. Some of the storms could be severe, with damaging wind gusts of 60+ mph being the main threat.
