Weather Story

Created by the NWS Grand Junction WFO

Well above normal temperatures will bring triple digit heat to many of the valleys of far western Colorado and eastern Utah. Overnight temperatures will also stay very warm in these areas which has prompted the issuance of Heat Advisories through Tuesday morning. In addition to the heat daily afternoon thunderstorms can be expected...especially over the southern mountains. Moderate to heavy rainfall rates will continue to bring a threat of flooding and debris flows to recent burn scars.
