Weather Story

Created by the NWS Grand Junction WFO

Red Flag Warnings in effect today for most of northeastern Utah and Western Colorado as hot, dry and windy conditions return to the region. Observe fire bans and exercise extra care to prevent wildfires. A weak surge of moisture this weekend will bring a brief pause in the critical fire weather conditions and may produce a few light showers and thunderstorms in the mountains Sunday. Hot, dry weather returns next week.
