Summer Heat On the Way!
Created by the NWS Medford WFO
The first warm up for summer is expected this weekend with triple digits expected for West Side Valleys. There will be a moderate risk for heat related illnesses during this time for areas away from the immediate coast. This means this level of heat affects most individuals sensitive to heat, but especially those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration. Considering this will be the warmest temperatures of the year so far, many folks aren’t used to this kind of heat yet. Take it easy out there this weekend, and remember that area waterways are still cold! Temperatures will trend cooler from Tuesday onward.
The Week Ahead
Created by the NWS Reno WFO
Expect gusty winds today and tomorrow with shower chances for NE CA Monday evening into Tuesday. After that, we warm up and dry out ahead of the weekend.
