A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 1 PM through 9 PM today for portions of northeast California and western Nevada. West to southwest wind gusts up to 35 mph will combine with very low humidity of 6–11%. Any fire that starts could spread rapidly and become difficult to contain. Avoid activities that could create sparks near dry vegetation, including yard work, target shooting, dragging trailer chains, and campfires. Follow all local fire restrictions.
