Relative humidity is forecast to fall into the 20s across the forecast area this afternoon. Breezy winds will also accompany the low afternoon relative humidity. Gusts up to 15 mph are expected for central and southern Tennessee Valley and southwest North Carolina. Gusts will range between 15 and 25 mph for northeast Tennessee into southwest Virginia. The combination of low relative humidity and breezy winds will lead to an elevated fire risk.
