FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY EVENING FOR LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA
a Fire Weather Watch for low relative humidity and gusty winds is in effect from Monday afternoon through Monday evening. Due to the ongoing drought and a lack of appreciable rainfall, critical fire weather conditions are met at relative humidity values of 30% or less.
The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Monday afternoon through Monday evening.

Northwest at 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph are possible along the mountain peaks.
