Approximately 6 inches of water is covering portions of County Road LG northwest of M-95 At 11.0 feet, Flood waters cover significant portions of County Road LG between M-95 and Michigamme Dam. Houses near Bengtson Bridge in South Republic are further impacted by flood waters At 13.0 feet, Homes in Republic near Munson Park...South Republic near Bengtson Bridge...and Witch Lake are significantly flooded. Dry weather and warmer temperatures can be expected through midweek. Expect light winds and abundant sunshine tomorrow with temperatures reaching the 50s and 60s. With the light winds expect a lake breeze to form near Lake Superior and Lake Michigan by afternoon, dropping temperatures back down into the 40s along the shorelines. Rivers will continue to run high due to continued snowmelt. The next chance for rain comes Thursday night.
