Temperatures will remain above normal through the beginning of the week with higher pressure over the area. Lower pressure will develop across much of the Western U.S. by the middle of the week and persist through the weekend. This will lead to temperatures cooling closer to seasonal levels and periods of breezy to locally windy conditions, particularly Tuesday-Wednesday. Dry conditions will prevail through the week.
High Wind Watch

A High Wind Watch has been issued for Esmeralda and central Nye counties from 10am until 8pm Tuesday. South winds gusting up to 60 mph will be possible. Difficult driving conditions along with areas of low visibility due to blowing dust can be expected.
