DISCUSSION

Issued at 103 AM MDT Tue Sep 15 2026

Chilly start to the morning with many areas falling into the 30s. The frost advisory remains in effect until 9am. Temps should quickly rebound with most locations seeing highs in the 70s today. Overnight lows look like they'll stay warm enough in most locations for Wednesday morning. Although there could be a few spots across the upper Snake Plain that could see some patchy frost. Temps rise to near 80 in across most of the Snake Plain and eastern Magic Valley on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a low pressure system will work into the Pacific Northwest. This system will lift monsoonal moisture into our region for Wednesday through Friday resulting in showers and storms. The low will pass through over the weekend and potentially we could see another round of frost advisories for Saturday and Sunday mornings.
