Severe Storms Possible This Afternoon and Tonight

Please remain weather-aware today! There is a Level 2 and Level 3 out of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms across the region this afternoon and tonight. We are tracking the potential for two rounds of storms. The first will move into north-central Minnesota this afternoon, becoming more numerous over time and move into northwest Wisconsin late this afternoon and this evening. A second round may develop this evening over central Minnesota and move into northwest Wisconsin overnight. Primary hazards include hail up to tennis ball size (2.25" in diameter), wind gusts between 40 to 80 mph, a small risk of tornadoes, and heavy rain that could lead to minor flash flooding. Please plan NOW for where you will seek shelter if storms approach, and ensure you have multiple methods for receiving watches and warnings!
