What
A moderate risk for sneaker waves is expected. A building west-northwest long period swell is expected to combine with lowering west-northwest swell and a south swell.
Where
The beaches of Douglas, Coos, and Curry counties.
When
From Sunday evening through Monday afternoon.
Impacts
Sneaker waves can run up significantly farther on beaches than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and sweep them into the ocean. The waves can also move logs or other objects which could crush or trap anyone caught underneath.

What to Do
Avoid climbing on rocks and jetties. Stay away from the ocean and remain out of the water to avoid hazardous conditions.

Halloween could be a wet one as some rain showers may move into Northern California and Southern Oregon. We are most confident in those showers impacting Northern California, but confidence has increased for light rain showers in the west side valleys. Have a safe (and hopefully dry) Halloween!!
