Where

Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake and Ashtabula Lakeshore Counties.

From 8 AM EDT Tuesday through late Wednesday night.

Impacts

Wind and wave action will cause currents on the lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake.

What to Do

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.

  • Stay off of rocks and jetties due to dangerous conditions

Ongoing convection across northern Michigan will sag south into the area late tonight as a cold front approaches. Some storms may be strong to severe with strong winds the primary hazard. The area remains in a Slight Risk (2 of 5) through tonight.
