Light Snow Mountain Pass Snow This Weekend

Minor travel impacts are expected late Saturday night through Sunday as another system brings light snow to mountain passes across Idaho County, Lemhi County, and Southwest Montana. Snow levels may drop as low as 5,000 feet, producing 2 to 5 inches of slushy accumulation on key routes including Lost Trail, Homestake, MacDonald, and Bannock passes. Wintry conditions may extend into high-elevation valleys by Sunday night. Motorists should prepare for slick surfaces, particularly during the overnight and early morning hours.
