Areas of fog, occasionally reducing visibility to around 1/4 mile, have developed in portions of southeast South Dakota and southwest Minnesota early this Monday morning. Travelers should be prepared for rapidly deteriorating or changing visibility, and use extra caution at intersections and railroad crossings. The fog is expected to improve by 7 to 8 AM.

While temperatures cool off slightly early this week, highs remain in the 90s through Wednesday. Thunderstorm risks return Thursday into Friday with highs in the 80s becoming more prevalent.

Forecast graphic through Saturday. Highs in the upper 80s and 90s today through Wednesday with partly to mostly sunny skies. Highs ease into the 80s Thursday through Saturday with a 60% chance of storms on Thursday, and a 20% chance of lingering morning showers or storms Friday. A strong storm or two will be possible with the late week activity.
