Cold water temperatures could lead to hypothermia if anyone enters the water unprepared or unintentionally.

Early morning showers will depart, and northern lower Michigan will see a partly to mostly sunny day. But in the eastern UP, some showers and storms are likely to redevelop this afternoon. Saturday will see a return to wetter weather across much of northern Michigan. Some stronger thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening. Associated showers will depart Sunday morning, with cooler weather in the offing for Sunday and Monday.
