Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where
Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties in western Massachusetts, as well as Hartford and Tolland Counties in Northern Connecticut.

Impacts
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Additional Details
- Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to develop Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday across the Watch area. The heaviest rainfall is expected Tuesday evening into Wednesday. Excessive rainfall rates are possible, which could trigger instances of street flooding and contribute to rises on rivers, streams and larger river basins. Two to three inches of rain are expected in the Watch area, with locally higher amounts possible especially along the eastern slopes of the Berkshires and portions of western Hartford County. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

If a Flood Warning is issued, it means that dangerous flooding is expected or already happening.
- Never walk, swim, or drive through flood waters or flooded roads.
- Stay away from areas where water levels can rise rapidly, like storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
If your home is likely to flood, or if authorities tell you to evacuate, do so immediately and move to higher ground.

There is an increased risk for flash flooding from excessive rainfall across western MA and into CT between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday evening. The heaviest rain is expected to fall overnight Tuesday through Wednesday/early Thursday. With totals of 2-3" (and locally more) possible, a Flood Watch has been issued for these areas.
