Colder air will continue to pour into the region on gusty northwest winds through this evening. There are even showers in the mountains spilling down into the foothills across western Maine. Much of this activity will diminish after dark, with winds briefly gusty again Saturday morning before weakening. Otherwise high pressure returns and dry weather reigns through the middle of next week with above normal temperatures.
