Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Additional Details
- Thunderstorms are forecast to have access to abundant moisture and could redevelop and move over the region multiple times. By Wednesday afternoon, some locations could end up with around 3 inches of rain.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Today heats up, but this will be short-lived with a cold front moving through Tuesday and hanging around the area. Because of the front, there will be large differences in temperatures north/south of the KS Turnpike, especially on Tuesday. Additionally, storm chances come to north central KS late this afternoon and evening, then spread north to south on Tuesday and continue into Wednesday. A few severe storms with locally heavy rainfall are possible during that time.
