The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Kansas
Lyon Creek near Junction City affecting Geary County.

Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

Impacts
At 21.0 feet, The north bank of the creek floods near the Highway 77 bridge. At 23.6 feet, The south bank of the creek floods near Highway 77.
Additional Details
- At 8:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.7 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late this afternoon. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.

A cold front is expected to move southeast today and storms could form along the front. If storms develop, they may produce large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain. The front and severe risk are expected to pass southeast of the area by 5pm. Friday will bring a break from the stormy weather, but Saturday is likely (60-90% chance) to see showers and storms return. Cooler temperatures are expected through the weekend.
