Soggy Setup to Start the Week
Created by the NWS Des Moines WFO
After a dry and mild Sunday, shower chances with a few rumbles of thunder return to the state, especially after midnight tonight. Shower and storm chances will then continue at times on Monday, especially later in the day into Monday night with some activity lingering into Tuesday as well. A few strong to perhaps severe storms will be possible later Monday, but the chances are small and mainly in southwest Iowa. On Monday, winds from the southeast will become windy with gusts in excess of 30 mph common before diminishing Monday night.
