* Tornado Warning for... Southeastern Woodford County in central Illinois... Northeastern Tazewell County in central Illinois...

* Until 700 PM CDT.

* At 615 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Deer Creek, or near Morton, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near... Eureka, Goodfield, Deer Creek, and Congerville around 620 PM CDT. Secor around 630 PM CDT. El Paso around 635 PM CDT.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 39 between mile markers 10 and 21. Interstate 74 between mile markers 104 and 117.

What to Do

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

* Until 715 PM CDT.

* At 610 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Deer Creek to San Jose, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Severe thunderstorms will be near... Mackinaw, Delavan, Hopedale, Goodfield, Deer Creek, and Congerville around 615 PM CDT. Minier, Danvers, Carlock, and Armington around 620 PM CDT. Stanford around 625 PM CDT. Bloomington, Normal, Hudson, and McLean around 630 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include Towanda, Heyworth, Lexington, Downs, Le Roy and Colfax.

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 9 PM tonight. Look for a thunderstorm activity to increase across west-central Illinois late this afternoon. Storms are expected to develop into a line of storms by early evening west of the Illinois River and push east/southeast through the evening hours. Several tornadoes are possible today in addition to large hail, damaging winds, and localized flooding. Stay weather aware!
