The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northern Knox County in west central Illinois...

* Until 1230 PM CDT.

* At 1147 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near North Henderson, or near Galesburg, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will be near... Galesburg, Wataga, and Henderson around 1155 AM CDT. Oneida around 1200 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this severe thunderstorm include Victoria.

This includes Interstate 74 between mile markers 35 and 54.

What to Do

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 PM CDT for west central Illinois.

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois

Spoon River at London Mills affecting Knox and Fulton Counties.

.The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.

Minor flooding is forecast.

Where

Spoon River at London Mills.

From late tonight to Saturday morning.

Impacts

At 15.0 feet, Minor flooding begins to agricultural land near the river.

- At 8:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 15.6 feet early tomorrow afternoon.   • If your vehicle is trapped in rapidly moving water, stay inside. If water is rising inside the vehicle, move to the roof and signal for help.
