Impacts
High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult.
What to Do
People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.

A High Wind Warning means that dangerously strong winds are happening now or soon, and you should take immediate action to protect yourself and your property.
- Take shelter now, and stay indoors if possible. Especially avoid being outside in forested areas or around large trees.
- Avoid driving if possible, as powerful cross winds create dangerous driving conditions, especially for high profile vehicles like vans, trucks and SUVs.
- If you must drive, slow down and keep both hands on the wheel. Keep your distance from high profile vehicles on the road.

Localized beach erosion may occur. In Scammon Bay, water may reach up to the boat launch.
Additional Details
Water may rise along the Kun River and typical low lying areas may see minor inundation. The highest waters are expected in Scammon Bay and Hooper Bay.

A High Surf Advisory means that breaking waves could result in dangerous conditions.
- Very strong waves could be dangerous to anyone in the water and along the shore.
- Always stay near lifeguards.
- Stay off of rocks or jetties where large waves could pop up suddenly.

...Locations Impacted... Middle Yukon Valley, Lower Koyukuk Valley, Lower Yukon Valley, and Innoko Valley.
Heavy rain is forecast to begin Monday afternoon. Rain should continue through Wednesday morning with storm total rainfall of up to 2 inches expected. With already saturated ground conditions across the region, the heavy rain may cause minor pooling/ponding of water beginning on Tuesday.
Mainstem river flooding is not expected, but high water levels and bankfull conditions are likely through the week as area rivers respond to the rain. Localized flooding on smaller creeks and streams is possible.
