Impacts
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. Trees are still mostly green and fully leafed, causing them to be more vulnerable to damage from the strong winds.
Additional Details
A strong storm fall system moving into the western coast of Alaska will produce strong and gusty southerly winds moving up the Cook Inlet starting Tuesday afternoon and persisting into Wednesday morning. The strongest winds will be focused along the coast from Anchor Point north to Kenai and Nikiski. Winds will slowly diminish throughout the morning on Wednesday.

Kuskokwim Delta Advisories

‼ Coastal Flood Advisory and High Wind Advisory have been issued for Kuskokwim Delta including the coast and inland towards Bethel. A low pressure system approaching western Alaska will push strong southerly to westerly winds onshore for the Kuskokwim Delta today through Tuesday evening. Onshore wind gusts to 60 mph expected with water levels along the coast rising 1.5 to 4 feet above the normal highest tide line.
