The Weather Story

Created by the NWS Grand Junction WFO

A strong cold front passes through today, bringing widespread snow showers and much colder temperatures. Highs will be 10-15 degrees below normal. Tonight, most locations will see lows drop below freezing, with freeze warnings in effect. Warmer weather returns next week.

Hard Freeze Conditions

Created by the NWS Salt Lake City WFO

Temperatures near or below 28F are expected across all Utah valleys above 3,000’ Thursday night into Friday morning, and again Friday night into Saturday morning. Temperatures this cold could cause widespread blossom loss, damage gardens, and may freeze external pipes such as sprinkler lines that have been activated early due to the recent warm weather.
