What

Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

Where

A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Burnet, Travis and Williamson.

When

Until 1115 AM CDT.

Impacts

Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.

Additional Details

- At 841 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Taylor, Elgin, Burnet, Marble Falls, Granger, Bertram, Serenada, Anderson Mill, Windemere, Buchanan Dam, Leander, Hutto, Manor, Lago Vista and Hudson Bend. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

What to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
