Severe Storm Potential Thursday-Thursday Night

Thunderstorms are expected on Thursday, some of which may be severe. During the day, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected but the severe weather threat with those storms will be low. A line of storms will then move from west to east across Iowa from the late afternoon through evening hours, carrying a threat of severe weather in the form of strong wind gusts, a few tornadoes, and locally heavy rain. These threats will gradually diminish as storms move farther east Thursday night.
