Impacts
At 14.0 feet, Significant flooding occurs on DeKalb County Road 42 about 3 miles northeast of Newville. Considerable agricultural and low land flooding occurs along the St. Joseph River to the Cedarville Reservoir.

What to do
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
