5-Day Outlook
Created by the NWS Juneau WFO
A frontal band moves over the northern panhandle through early Tuesday morning, bringing light rainfall rates. Light rain showers will develop behind the front and continue to push into the northern panhandle through the week, with the southern panhandle staying relatively dry and clear. Breaks in the weather will be possible for the northern panhandle through the week, with blue skies making an appearance in between showers. A low marine layer may try to push inland from the gulf, which would bring a low cloud deck to outer coastal communities and into the Icy Strait Corridor. The southern panhandle looks to remain dry with mostly sunny skies through the week. High temperatures are expected to reach into the low 50s for the northern panhandle, the mid 50s for the central panhandle, and the high 50s to low 60s for the southern panhandle.
