TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT...Strong pressure gradient over the islands will continue to hold strong and gusty trades tonight through Friday night. The trough up north will remain tonight before descending south on Thursday morning. This will increase showers to numerous on Thursday through Friday night. Trades of 20 to 25 mph are expected to increase 25 to 30 mph on Friday.
Long term
SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...Near gale trades will continue through Sunday night. As the pressure gradient weakens, trades will shift to east winds on Monday. Winds will diminish 20 to 25 mph and persist through Tuesday. Winds will diminish to breezy flow on Tuesday night before becoming gentle north winds on Wednesday. The high pressure will move east and the trough up north will flow towards a developing low near Fiji. This will shift winds and showers for the long term.

Hazardous seas of 9 to 12 feet will persist tonight. As south swells reach the territory before midnight tonight, seas will build 13 to 15 feet through Friday morning, while peaking 15 to 17 feet on Thursday morning. As the swells pass, seas will subside 9 to 12 feet on Friday afternoon. These hazardous conditions will persist through Saturday night. With near gale winds remaining over the islands, seas will again build 13 to 15 feet on Sunday and remain through Monday. As winds diminish, seas will again subside 9 to 12 feet on Monday night.
